Our Practice Principal, Harj Basra, qualified in 1995 from Manchester University and in 1999, he founded Station House Dental Practice. He has worked in general dental practice for over 25 years with areas of special interest in orthodontics and dental implants. He has recently increased his already extensive knowledge by gaining a Masters Degree in Orthodontics from Warwick University. Harj really enjoys running the practice and working with the team. He particularly relishes treating complex cases and delivering cosmetic procedures. He is also very proud to have been a FD trainer, helping to mentor and develop new graduates. When not hard at work, Harj loves spending time with his wife and four children. His ideal Sunday would be spent watching cricket with a refreshing beer, and he is also a life-long (suffering) Wolverhampton Wanderers supporter.

Bal qualified in 2006 from Liverpool University and has worked in practice for over fifteen years. His commitment to advancing his skills led him to complete a certificate course in Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry in 2010, followed by a certificate course in Dental Implantology in 2012. Bal provides dental treatments under NHS and private contract, and his areas of special interest include Invisalign and dental implants. He also teaches a preventive dentistry course to dental nurses. He loves working with the dental team and has a particular passion for minimally invasive dentistry. He enjoys treating complex cases, especially those related to cosmetic dentistry and smile redesign. When not delivering high-quality dentistry, Bal is a passionate follower of Liverpool Football Club. He also enjoys travelling and photography.

John Graduated from Dundee University in 2005 and has almost two decades of experience in general practice. During this period John has expanded his skillset gaining a Diploma from the Royal College of Surgeons, an MSC Degree in Restorative Dentistry, and a Diploma in Orthodontics from Warwick University. He provides dentistry under both NHS and Private contract, and his areas of special interest include prosthodontics, endodontics, and orthodontics. He enjoys being able to provide a broad range of treatment options to patients of all ages. When not delivering the highest standards of dental care, John enjoys spending time with his daughter and his husky. He is a lover of the outdoors and enjoys camping, hiking, running, kayaking and paddleboarding. He also holds professional qualifications in photography and has a keen interest in dental photography.

Hardeep graduated with honours from the University of Birmingham Dental School having received multiple prizes throughout the years. This was followed by various hospital roles in maxillofacial, oral surgery and oral medicine. During this time, he was awarded with the Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons. In addition, he has spent time as a clinical teacher at Birmingham Dental Hospital. Subsequently, his interest and passion for Periodontology led him to complete a three-year specialist training programme at the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute, London, where he graduated with distinction. He treats patients on referral who require advanced treatment for gum disease.
Dr Jasmin Sandhu

Jasmin qualified from the University of Birmingham in 2017 with honours and a distinction in clinical dentistry, she gained experience by working in the community & hospital oral and maxillofacial surgery departments in Wolverhampton. In 2019 she gained her Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery and in 2020 she undertook training at the Avanti Aesthetics Academy in London. Her gentle approach to care enables her to gain the trust and confidence of patients. Jasmin enjoys all aspects of dentistry and compliments this with providing facial rejuvenation treatments, including anti-wrinkle injections. In her spare time, Jasmin enjoys going to the gym, baking & spending time with her family & friends.

Dr Gurpreet Matharu

Originally from Wolverhampton, Gurpreet qualified in 2014 from the University of Leeds. She completed her FD training at Station House Dental Practice and continues to work with us, as well as at the Smile Centre in Shrewsbury. She provides dental treatments under for NHS and private patients and her areas of special interest include facial rejuvenation treatments, such as anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers. She finds it rewarding when she achieves beautiful results using facial rejuvenation techniques in combination with dental treatments. Gurpreet excels at providing dental care to the whole family and has a particularly good rapport with children. She finds it rewarding when she is able to build a child’s confidence within the dental setting. Outside of work, Gurpreet loves to travel and enjoys spending time with her family; her husband and 3-year-old son.

Meren graduated from University of Birmingham Dental school in 2017. From here she carried out her postgraduate training in multiple maxillofacial hospitals, focusing on oral surgery and oral medicine. She progressed to speciality oral surgery roles in maxillofacial units, performing complex extractions and soft tissue procedures. Meren also works at Birmingham Dental Hospital as a Specialty Dentist in oral surgery and is involved with teaching both undergraduates and dental core trainees. In addition to her interest in Oral Surgery, Meren is currently completing a Level-7 Aesthetic practitioner course at the prestigious Harley Academy in London, where she has learnt specific treatments relating to facial rejuvenation and beautification. In her spare time Meren loves spending time with family and travelling.

Priyanka qualified as a pharmacist in 2017 from the University of Birmingham, and then as a Dentist from the University of Central Lancashire in 2022. She has been part of the Station House dental team since 2023. She enjoys providing dental treatments for all age groups under NHS and Private contract, with an interest in cosmetic dentistry and delivering dentistry to the more apprehensive patient (both adults and children). She particularly enjoys treating anxious patients to help them overcome their fears about visiting the dentist. When not restoring smiles, Priyanka enjoys travelling, getting lost in a good book, and is an avid foodie.

She enjoys providing dental treatments for all age groups under NHS and Private contract and has a particular interest in restorative and cosmetic dentistry. She has completed a certificate course in minimally invasive restorative and cosmetic dentistry. She also has experience in managing anxious patients and helping them feel at ease during their visits to our practice. Amarith loves working alongside a friendly and well-informed team, who are equally as keen on providing high quality dental education to all patients. When not at work, you will find her playing netball, travelling, or spending time with her pet dog.

Laju Dosu (LJ) qualified as a dentist in 2012 from the University of Lagos. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and prides herself on her warm and caring approach towards her patients and in particular children. LJ provides dental treatment under the NHS and Private contract, and she strives to communicate and connect with her patients putting them at ease during dental appointments. She is a lifelong learner and motivated by patient care. She has published a children’s book on Amazon that encourages children to brush their teeth and have fun while doing it. When not practising dentistry, LJ is a DIY enthusiast and loves spending quality time with her young family.

Emmie joined Station House Dental Practice in 2013 as a trainee dental nurse and over the years has expanded her knowledge of orthodontics. She underwent further training and has gone on to qualify as an Orthodontic Therapist. Emmie also leads our treatment coordinating team and enjoys being part of patient journeys, ranging from Dental Implants to Invisalign and Smile Design. She enjoys seeing and treating her own patients with the orthodontic nurses. Emmie can also be found working on joint clinics with Dr Basra where she is able to be part of the treatment planning process for complex cases. In her spare time Emmie enjoys producing artwork whilst listening to her favourite podcasts or playlists.

When not working, Claire enjoys travelling, playing sports, and planning adventures with her children.

Greg has been working in a dental environment for 25 years and qualified as a Dental Hygienist in 2011. He trained at the Defence Dental Services (DDS) School and qualified through the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He enjoys seeing and treating patients to improve their oral health and helps with tooth whitening. When not working, Greg enjoys keeping fit and is training for the London Marathon for his various charities.
